I Don’t Feel Qualified To Be A Father!

This week is going to be one of your best weeks yet! Prepare yourself for unprecedented favour.

We shall begin a new series on Fatherhood. We can’t talk about the family being the bedrock of the society without recognising and accentuating the fact that the father is pivotal to the construction of this bedrock. The Father is a life-giving individual, the carrier of seeds, hence the quality of the people in any society cannot be completely separated from the quality of the Fathers in it. Kind gives birth to its kind. Hence, it is important to understand the INFLUENCE and RESPONSIBILITY God has placed upon your shoulders as a Father.

“Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.” Psalm 49:20. Here, the scriptures assert that if you don’t understand the unique and elevated position you have been placed in, you are not different from a lower animal. The focus here is for you to see and place value on yourself, as this is the only way for you to do the same to your children (biological, adopted and spiritual). You can only give what you have. See yourself as the progenitor that you are – the source and originator of a new lineage – and begin to design how you want things to be many years after you are gone. Do not just fold your hands and watch or abandon your responsibility to your wife, the teachers of your children, the government, etc. It is better not to bring a child into this world than to fail as a Father. Your children need you more than they need your gifts.
