When Love Hurts

A good example is ‘Romeo and Juliet’ by Shakespeare. However, the part that often gets hidden or is often not talked about is the unconditional part of love – the aspect of love that involves commitment, sacrifice and loving your spouse, especially when they don’t ‘deserve’ it.

Any man can love a woman when she is all made up, when the smell of Coco Chanel oozes from her, with her flowing hair and ‘Cinderella’s slippers’ on, but how many men can love their wives when they gain body fat after two or three children, when they are ‘unloveable’ or when they make costly mistakes?
